SecureSense began with a fear I couldn't ignore. Every headline, from school shootings to extremist attacks, felt like watching the world become harder to protect. Two classmates and I set out to build a real-time firearm detection system using computer vision. We were idealistic, driven, and utterly unprepared for what it means to build technology meant for real danger.

Our team didn't fracture over code. It fractured over conviction. The tension surfaced after we pitched our prototype to the Director General of Police of Rajasthan, who emphasized that in this line of work, improper detection could lead to false accusations, but even a moment's delay could cost lives. Half our team sided with maximized accuracy; the others insisted that a delayed alert rendered precision meaningless. Every meeting cycled through the same irresolvable motions: precision versus speed, each side defending a vision of safety the other couldn't see.

I realized then that my role as Co-Founder wasn't to choose a side; it was to reveal a shared ground beneath the conflict. Instead of debating what failure would look like, I asked each person to articulate success in concrete, human terms. What would it mean for our system to work in a school hallway, a country's border?
